ATTENTION LADIES AND LADY SUPPORTERS!
If you do nothing else today, sign the petition/ make a call/ write the federal government/ tell a friend/ read about supporting the recent recommendations by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) to make birth control available without a co-pay (yes, you heard right!) to women in America. After receiving this recommendation and several other awesome ones from the IOM, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services now has to decide which if any of the recommendations will be adopted as part of the Affordable Care Act roll-out in the next few years.
What does this mean - low/ no cost contraception is within reach for millions of women and families! AND, a new way of thinking about preventive medicine is upon us, but only if we act now.
