Once a year, Choice USA celebrates the amazing work of young activists who are fighting for all of us to have the power, knowledge and tools to control our own bodies and relationships. At our 9th Annual Generation to Generation Celebration on September 23rd in Washington, DC, we will honor the achievements of dynamic leaders who are setting new standards, creating new solutions, harnessing new strategies and leveraging their political power.
Help us spotlight change-makers in your communities, networks and organizations! You can nominate a young leader or mentor who has made a difference and exhibited an unwavering commitment to advancing a reproductive justice agenda. Whether it is an elected official in your community, a friend from your campus Choice USA chapter, a co-worker or a professor who has mentored you, this is your chance to show them some love.
Nomination Categories:
Excellence in Leadership Award: Given to a group or individual 30 AND UNDER who has exhibited radical, unrelenting leadership that led to social change particularly impacting sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Outstanding Chapter Award: Given to a Choice USA chapter leader or chapter who has made a significant impact on a campus, city or state level.
Steinem-Waters Legacy Award: Given to a movement leader OVER 30 who has exhibited a consistent investment in developing young people in the field of reproductive justice.
Nomination Criteria:
Nominees for the Excellence in Leadership and Outstanding Chapter Awards must be 30 or under on July 5, 2011 Nominees for the Steinem-Waters Award must be over 30 on July 5, 2011.
